Contractor Coordination & Vetting

How We Coordinate Contractors

• Maintain a network of licensed, insured Florida contractors
• Match your project with contractors suited to the work type
• Help verify contractor licenses through the Florida DBPR
• Coordinate competitive estimates and proposals on your behalf
• Help you compare bids and understand the differences
• Facilitate communication throughout the project

Verify Your Contractor's License

We encourage every homeowner to independently verify any contractor's license and insurance before signing a contract. The Florida DBPR provides a free online search tool. You can verify a license at the Florida DBPR website.

Questions to Ask Before Signing a Contract

• Are you licensed in Florida? What is your license number?
• Are you insured? Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
• Will you pull all required permits for this project?
• Do you provide a written warranty on your work?
• Can you provide references from similar projects in Pinellas County?
• What is the estimated timeline and payment schedule?

Avoiding Contractor Fraud

After major storms, unlicensed and fraudulent contractors often target Florida homeowners. We help reduce this risk by connecting you with licensed professionals and encouraging you to verify credentials independently.
